We are looking for an experienced and reliable Temporary Chef to join our garden centre café in Preston for holiday cover throughout the summer period.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys working in a friendly daytime environment with no late evenings.
The Role
- Preparing and cooking a range of café favourites, breakfasts, lunches, daily specials, and baked items.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Managing kitchen operations during shifts and working efficiently during busy service periods.
- Supporting the existing team and ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen running.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working as a chef in a café, restaurant, or similar environment.
- Ability to work independently and confidently manage service.
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures.
- A positive attitude and strong team-working skills.
- Availability to provide cover during the summer holiday period.
