Job Title: Sous Chef

Hourly Rate: £18+ per hour

As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and supervising the small kitchen staff. You will be joining the kitchen of an award-winning hotel and wedding venue based in Clitheroe. Offering a contemporary luxury stay, wrapped up in historic surroundings, you will be working as part of the kitchen brigade offering all day dining to both resident and non-residents. The kitchen uses locally sourced, fresh ingredients to cook a variety of dishes and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in addition to their exquisite afternoon tea and classic Sunday roast menus.

 

You'll be working a minimum of 40 hours over 5 days with potential for overtime and will be paid for every hour you work. This role is an on-going position, starting as soon as possible. The hotel caters predominately for weddings and events but also welcomes leisure guests in their on-site restaurant. The hotel is fortunate enough to have two kitchens; one dedicated to their restaurant service and the other to their function suite and you will be working across both kitchens. The suite can accommodate up to 120 and the hotel is well known for both its lavish weddings and smaller, intimate events.

 

The hotel is regularly fully booked and therefore cannot offer a room for a Chef consistently so you must have your own transport and be within a commutable distance to get to and from site each day for work.
