EXPERIENCED SENIOR EXECUTIVE CHEF – MANCHESTER - RATE NEGOTIABLE

Our client, a luxury 5* hotel located in the city are looking for a temporary Senior Executive Chef to support their business whilst they recruit. The role begins at the start of the new year and will be for a minimum of a month but could possibly be longer.

The hotel holds 2AA rosettes and prides itself on both their impeccable food and 5* service. Their current menu consists of traditional British classics influenced by locally sourced produce in addition to seasonal changes. The hotel has both a main kitchen and banqueting kitchen and caters for weddings, conferences and events in addition to their restaurant, room service, bar and terrace food offerings.

The ideal candidate will be extremely professional and be able to demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. He/she must have excellent organisational skills, strong management expertise and previous experience plus a proven track record in a similar role is non-negotiable.

 

Your new contract will involve;

  • Working a minimum of 40 hours, over 5 days however flexibility is required for this senior position and more hours will most probably be needed
  • Developing the existing team where required
  • Carrying out monthly stock takes
  • Ensuring effective food organisation and stock rotation
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene standards
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets, including information surrounding food sales, average spend, profit percentages, costings and operating expenses
  • Representing the kitchen daily at Food and Beverage Meetings

 

About you: 

  • You will possess comprehensive knowledge and skills in food preparation, cooking and presentation
  • You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working as an Executive Chef in a 5* hotel environment
  • You will have experience working with fresh produce at a 2AA rosette standard
  • You will have excellent management skills in addition to communication and interpersonal skills
  • You will be comfortable leading brigades of Chefs across two kitchens, catering for both restaurant service and C&B whilst maintaining the hotels high standards
