Sous Chef, Gastropub, Winchester

We are excited to be recruiting a Sous Chef for our client, a well-loved gastropub located just outside the heart of Winchester. Known for its seasonal menus, local produce, and relaxed yet high-quality dining experience, they are looking for a passionate and committed Sous Chef to join their talented kitchen team on a permanent basis.

 

The Role:

  • Support the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen
  • Consistently deliver high standards
  • Contribute to menu development using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
  • Ensure health, hygiene, and safety standards are upheld at all times
  • Manage kitchen operations during Head Chef’s absence

 

The Offer:

  • Salary of £32,000 per annum
  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Opportunity to work with a dynamic and passionate team

 

About You:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up
  • Passionate about fresh food and delivering a great dining experience
  • Organised and calm under pressure
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
  • Reliable transport is beneficial due to the rural location
