Temporary Chef de Partie, Exeter, Devon

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable relief Chef de Partie to join a busy, well-established kitchen on a temporary ongoing basis in the Exeter area, set within a scenic rural part of the countryside just outside the city. The business is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, so these will be your days off.

Start Date: 29th April 2026
Duration: One month initially, with a potential to extend.

About the Role:
You will be working as part of a small fast-paced kitchen team, supporting daily service and ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation are consistently met. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CDP looking for flexible, ongoing work in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard
  • Supporting Head Chef to ensure your designated section runs efficiently
  • Assisting with stock control and kitchen organisation
  • Maintaining hygiene and food safety standards
  • Working collaboratively with the wider kitchen team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
