We are looking for a temporary Night Porter to support a busy hotel and wedding venue in the Ribble Valley.
As a Night Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the security of the hotel overnight and the safety of guests including handling emergency situations such as the need to administer first aid or handle fire evacuations should one arise.
You will also be required to organise the restaurant area for breakfast and will be expected to prepare function rooms for events ready for the following day. The role may involve moving tables and chairs, preparing and ironing table linen and setting up tables in the restaurant including polishing cutlery and setting up crockery and glassware.
This is a hands on role but is also customer facing so the ideal Night Porter will be professional, personable and polite.
Our client has said that whilst the hotel needs a professional with relevant experience, they are mainly looking for somebody with 'energy, enthusiasm and initiative'.
All applicants mut be comfortable with undertaking a basic DBS check. Whilst this role is initially temporary, there may be scope for the position to become permanent for the ideal applicant. There may also be opportunity for part time hours so if you are only looking to work 2/3 nights, please still apply.
